Immature Soap Opera Reaction

  • Apr. 10th, 2008 at 8:14 PM

[Thanks to Kelly for the title ;) ]

Everyone reading this entry will be in for a good laugh. :D

So, I got an email from my mother on Monday. Although, I only read it Tuesday because I was at Stefan's house on Monday and didn't get a chance to check my email. The subject of the email was 'Wake Up'. I knew I was in for a good read instantly. XD So, the email was rather long but very enjoyable to read. It started off with how disrespectful she thinks I've been to adults and such. She goes on to talk about Stefan and our situation and how fast she thought I went into the relationship and all. And how I'm being stupid and irresponsible about certain things.

Before I continue with the next part of the email, I have to explain what happened last week. So, I was on Facebook and I discovered that my mom had gotten Facebook. O_O Woah. Anyways, like the next day or something, my dad told me he had been talking to my mom. And he told me she had logged onto Jo Ann's account (she's one of my friends on Facebook) and looked at the pictures from the toga party I went to a couple of weeks ago. And apparantly, I look drunk in the pictures. O_O Ya, I don't drink. And I wouldn't have that night anyways because I had a headache, and most probably a fever. Then I took drugs for it and that wouldn't have gone well with alcohol. Anyways, so, I was a little upset that my mom went on to someone's account just to see pictures of me. Oh, and she made a comment that Stefan looked like a girl. Which pissed both me and Stefan off. Gah. So, I go on Facebook and take off Doug and Jo Ann. So, like last Thursday or Friday or something, I get a call from my mom. Facebook came up and I told her I knew what she did. And then I informed her that I removed Doug and Jo Ann. She got upset at me that I wasn't going to add her on Facebook. She hung up pissed. Lol.

So, the last part in the email she sent me was about Facebook. She told me that I had until Tuesday night to re-add Doug or I would experience serious consequences. Um, ok. So, I would get in trouble for not re-adding him to Facebook? In my reply to her, I told her it was my Facebook, not hers or Doug's and that I would choose who were my friends on it. And none of them were going to be my friends. I also talked about the fact that I was not drunk at the toga party. And I told her why I don't drink. Because of Doug and her. That they are both alcoholics, whether they admit it or not, and that I don't want to turn into them. I thanked her for setting me that example.

I also mentioned in my reply that just because my mom and Doug are adults, doesn't mean that they deserve respect. just because you're older than someone, doesn't mean you deserve more respect than someone else. Age doesn't matter.

Oh, and at the end of her email, she mentioned that I shouldn't piss anyonre off, especially those that took me in (aka Doug). And that I should be more respectful towards him for all he's done for me. Okay, yes, thank you for taking me in but no one should EXPECT anything in return for doing something. You should do something because you want to, not because you expect something good in return. That's just wrong thinking. And my mom also mentioned how easy of a life I had living with Doug and all. And I replied basically with a no way in hell was it easy. I had to put up with both Doug and my mom arguing and swearing at each other for hours each night, even though I had to wake up early for school the next day. Ya, easy? No.

So, since Tuesday, I was waiting to get a reply in my email from my mother. Nothing. And when I got back from school today, I found out that she had been trying to call our house. So, sometime in the afternoon, my dad talked to her. When he finished, after like 30 minutes, I went to talk to him to see what she said. Get ready for the best part of this entry. Make sure you're not drinking anything because you might spit it out from laughter. :D

So, basically, I'm like dad, what did she say? He replied that I can get my work shirt and throw it out. Because I was fired. O_O I then asked my dad if my mom had mentioned why my mom got me fired. My dad said that she had nothing to do with me getting fired. That it was Doug that got me fired because I didn't re-add him on Facebook. Ok, so, get this. Because I didn't add Doug, a 40+ year old man who's my boss, I got fired from my job. Ya. Try to understand that. Who the hell does that? Lol. I couldn't stop laughing when I found out. How immature do you have to be to do that? Lmao. It's a freakin' social networking site and because I didn't want to have him as my friends, I was fired. Wow, just wow. That's stooping down to some stupid level, isn't it? I'm still in shock what happened and this happened like 4 hours ago. Oh, and there's more. My dad also told me that he was told that I was not allowed to go to Florida. Lmao. Um, that's 100% fine with me because I had enough bullshit to go through last time I went at Christmas. There was no way I was going back again. Lol. Wow, such immaturity! Lmao. Omg, I can't stop laughing. And I've been smiling like all evening since I found out. ^_^

After I finished talking with my dad, I went back up to my room and told Stefan everything that he said. He had a great laugh along with me and totally agreed that Doug was a huge baby. XD And then after supper, I told Kelly about it and I believe I put a smile on her face as well. And wait till I tell people at the lockers next week. I'm sure everyone will have a good laugh. I've already had two people comment to me on Facebook about it since I've changed my status update to the following: Lindsay got fired from her job because she didn't add her boss on Facebook O_O and is laughing along with Kelly.

Wow, I haven't felt this good in a long time. Well, besides when I'm with Stefan. *heart*

Sister's Day

  • Aug. 1st, 2007 at 11:31 PM
As promised, Doug, here is another entry!!

Anywho, apparantly, it's Sister Day today. Thanks for pointing that out to me, Doug. It's listed in my calendar and I didn't realise it was today. After you "bothered" me, Doug, I got a text message from my sister wishing me a happy sister's day and for the next 10 minutes we replied to each other, mostly making fun of you, Doug. All in good fun. That's the first time in forever that me and Tiff talked about something other than stuff related to me picking her up somewhere (when I used to drive her around in Naples).

Not much going around. My dad has been at home for the past couple of days. I was in my room on Monday and it was about 2 hours after my dad had left for work when I heard a car go down our street. It sounded like it was backing up into a driveway (that's what my dad does when he comes home). The next second, I hear banging on the front door. It was my dad! He said he hadn't felt well at Home Depot so he's got off till Thursday. He then called up his doctor but his doctor's gone till the end of next month. Ya. So, it's been a lazy week so far. We both stayed in our PJ's today. Neither of us felt like getting dressed. But tomorrow, we're gonna have to go out. We need to get food and stuff.

Other than that, not much happening around here. In nine days, I have that college prep thing. I'm gonna have to check online for a way to get to Vanier. I'll probably take the bus from the end of my street to the train station and take that to Vanier. Gonna have to figure out the times and such. After the whole presentation thing at Vanier, I'm gonna have to get my picture taken in the IT centre at Vanier for my ID card. And hopefully, I'll be home for lunch so I don't have to worry about finding a place to eat. Although, I do remember there was a Pizza Hut across from Vanier where I ate at last time I was there. Then, in less than three weeks, I can register for my classes! Really excited for that! A week after that and I start college! XD

Hope this satisfied your "entry needs", Doug! XD

"Sucks to be you!"

  • Jul. 7th, 2007 at 11:22 PM
So, I was sleeping this morning when I suddenly heard the front door open. I opened my eyes and glanced at the clock. It was something like 10:15. My dad was home and I was still sleeping. I shot out of bed real quick. As soon as I opened my door, I walked downstairs. My dad knew I had just gotten up! So, he ate lunch. When he left, I read a bit of HP5. I actually read like a chapter last night before going to bed. Anywho, I then watched tv, ate lunch. Then I read a couple more chapters. Went on the internet. Dad came home some time after 3. He left again sometime around 6:30 ish cause he had some meeting with fellow Home Depot workers at Boston Pizza. So, I had supper by myself for the first time since moving here. Yup. Watched an episode of Alias on DVD while I had 4 slices of cheese, won ton soup, and some Cheese Bits. And then ice cream for dessert. Yup. Dad got home some time around 9:45. He's now in bed cause he has to get up at 4:30.

So, the really exciting thing (if you want to call it exciting) is that I got a call from my mom today. Apparently, she was calling me from Islands of Adventure. (?#%$&!). She rubbed it in my face that I wasn't there. Ya, that makes me feel good. I totally wish I could be there right now! It actually feels real weird that I'm not there. It doesn't feel real that everyone at this moment is in Orlando. I then heard you, Doug, come on the phone and say to me: sucks to be you! (hence the name of this entry). I told my mom that if she called again, I wouldn't pick up. And sure enough, a couple of minutes later, she called. And, as I promised, I did not answer the phone. She left a message. She then called me back around 10:30 or something. I picked up. She informed me so nicely that everyone was just leaving the park now. Yup. I still felt weird and wished I was there. The call didn't last long. I didn't want to hear all the sounds in the background. Wonder if she'll call tomorrow... She told me everyone was going to Busch Gardens tomorrow. I really don't care about that park. I never really liked it. Maybe, cause I had a headache last time we went and I didn't go on like any rides. Hmm... oh well. Enough "ranting" there. *cough*

Lazy Thursday...

  • Jul. 6th, 2007 at 12:14 AM
Well, I slept in till 11 today. I don't even remember my alarm clock going off at 10. Maybe I turned it off, I dunno. Anywho, when I got up, my dad was still sleeping. Which is unusal cause he usually gets up before me. But like 10 minutes later, he was up as well. Watched tv together, ate lunch. I took my shower and then we headed over to Carrefour to pick up some things. We stopped off at Maxi on the way back and got food for supper... and junk food! Hehehe... As soon as we got home, we both had a snack and then I headed upstairs. I went on my computer but I was soon finishing reading the last 50 pages of HP4 while my dad was snoring on the lazyboy downstairs, taking a nap. By the time I finished HP4, it was about 7pm. Dad woke up when I went to the bathroom and we then had supper (chicken and crispy fries!)  Watched more tv (we're couch potatoes!). Then I came back up here at 10 and watched Entourage episodes on my computer. Yup. That was my dad. Exciting, eh? I'm gonna be watching the HP4 movie tomorrow sometime with my daddy. Then it's off to reading HP5! The last one before I watch the new movie!! Comes out... in 6 days!! Yay!!! :D

P.S. Hope you're having fun in Orlando Doug! XD

Falling down...

  • Jun. 25th, 2007 at 10:27 PM

Not much happened today. Dad worked today. When he came home for his lunch break, it was a little late and he told me it was the busiest he's ever seen it at Home Depot! As soon as he left, I had lunch at 11 cause I was starving. Afterwards, did my clothes, read HP2 for like an hour and a half. I've finally decided that I'm gonna have to keep some of my stuff downstairs in the basement cause I don't have any place for some stuff in my room. So, I put a couple of things in an empty box and brought it downstairs. By that time, my clothes were finished, I put them away and then I took a shower. Had a "senior" moment in the shower! I was turning around to put my shaving gel back in a corner, and somehow, I fell, my back hitting the toilet seat and I heard a crash. I finished my shower in a minute and when I got out, I found that I had knocked over the kleenex box. Ya. That was fun! *rolls eyes*

When my dad got home, we went out to get something for supper and some food. We decided we were gonna have chicken tornados for supper. (Remember those, Doug? We had them a couple of times in Rosemere.. round pieces of chicken with bacon wrapped around). We got those along with curly fries at M&M's. In the end, my dad burned the chicken and undercooked the fries. Smoke was all over the house. Quite exciting.

Before I sign off to read some more HP, I wanted to wish Doug and Jo Ann a happy 19th anniversary! :D And many more to come! Doug, did you go out for supper?

House to myself

  • Jun. 18th, 2007 at 10:09 PM

*yawns* Getting late... Just wanted to quickly post an entry...
My dad had to work today (his 2 week holiday is over!) and he had to get up at 4:30am. Yes, so early! Anywho, I get up at the simplest of noises, so when he got up, I woke up. But I ended up dozing back off before he left. He was coming back at 10:15 for his lunch break so I knew to get up before then. I ended up getting at 9:45. I watched Pirate Master that I had taped last week. Dad got home, ate lunch, and was off at 10:50. He wasn't gonna be back until 3:30 so I had the whole afternoon to myself! Lol. I watched some tv, ate lunch. Dad suggested before he left that I get some more boxes done (I had only finished 2 at that point!). After I finished eating lunch, I decided to vacuum the stairs leading to the basement cause they were full of dust. After that, I got dressed, threw my clothes in the washing machine and put the box from the floor in my bedroom onto my bed. I began unpacking it and putting most of the stuff into my toy box (I've decided to keep it). After I was finished with that, I got another box from the living room and unpacked that. As I was finishing up, dad got back home. I told him I needed a bookshelf cause most of the boxes had books in them. We flipped through an Ikea catalog and looked at bookshelves for awhile. We're gonna have to go to the store and see what they have there soon. Not much else happened in the afternoon.
Dad's getting up again at 4:30 in the morning so he's already in bed. And I'm going to bed as well as soon as I finish writing this entry. I still have to put my clothes away first though. They're sitting on my bed. Then I'll read a chapter or two from Harry Potter and then I'll play games on my palm pilot and THEN I'll go to bed. Yup. Exciting, eh?

~Lindsay

P.S. Hope everyone's father's day went great! Where did you end up going for supper, Doug?
