2 hours

  • Feb. 21st, 2008 at 10:38 PM
Weeee. Lindsay is functioning off of 2 hours of sleep. Lol. Weeeee.

*cough* Anyways. So, my first class was at 8 this morning. I get to school at 7:30 like usual. I walk to E5. Sit down on the floor and just listen to my music. My English teacher is usually late by 5-10 minutes so I wasn't too surprised when 8:05 rolled around and he hadn't arrived yet. But then 8:10 passed and then 8:15. After 15 minutes, if a teacher doesn't show up, we're allowed to leave. One or two students in my class leave. The rest of us stayed until 8:25. At that point, we all left. Later, I'm on Omnivox, and Shankman (the teacher) sent us an email message and here's an excerpt:

A teacher's worst fear! Or at least one of them happened this morning. I slept in and then thought my class was at 10 so I didn't rush. About to go to class at 10 I look at my schedule and my heart drops, "Oh no! it happened" My poor students who had to brave -18 degrees to get to class. My sincere apologies! I didn't plan this one.

I could have slept in an extra four hours! And today, Lindsay definitely needed it! XD

So, I headed to D. I knew Kelly's class started at 8:30. (Yes, Kelly, I'm a stalker and know where all your classes are! Mwahahaha!) Kelly asks if I want to come inside and I say sure. I really had nothing better to do. We talked for like 10-15 minutes before her class finally started. Me and Kelly had a good time! ^_^

Afterwards, I walked Kelly to her gym class. God, I had a three hour break today... Damn you, Shankman! Anyways, after I said goodbye to Kelly, I headed over to A3. I did the anthro homework I remembered I had last night that was to be done for 11:30. Around 11, Jessica showed up. We went down to the caf since I needed to buy lunch. I had poutine! :D

Had my anthro class at 11:30. It was pretty easy. We didn't do much and the teacher let us out like 20 minutes early. Yay! So, Lindsay texted Kelly and found out she was at the lockers. And so, I headed there. I had like 30 minutes before my next class so I hung our with everyone at the lockers! (Kelly, I just realised, the sticker that Jason gave me is still on my shirt, lol. *takes off*)

French was my last class. It was alright. We just went over the homework... which Lindsay didn't do. Lol. I just didn't feel like doing much today since I only had 2 hours of sleep.

Well, I think I'm gonna go to bed now. I need some sleep. Plus, I have a QM test tomorrow. But that will be easy, easy. I'm not even gonna bother studying for it. It's just standard deviation and such and Lindsay knows it. Right, Kelly? I wonder if Sandra understand my explanation for it yesterday though... lol.

P.S. The ending of Lost tonight was a huuuuge shocker. I needs to find someone who watches Lost, damn it, so I can discuss.

Fitness Appraisal

  • Feb. 21st, 2008 at 12:16 AM

Man, it's been an exhausting day!

So, I couldn't write an entry last night because I was studying like crazy for the psych test I had this morning.

Anyways, I guess I was late in getting ready this morning because I missed the 22 bus. I saw it pass by as I was walking up the road. Then, just as I'm getting to the bus stop, I hear what sounds like a bus behind me. I turn around and see the 17. Usually it only arrives like 10 minutes later. So, I start running for the bus stop but the bus driver honks the horn and lets me get on where I am. XD Nice guy.

I review for the psych test at the train station and on the train, even though I just wanted to close my eyes. 8:30. Test time! It was 65 questions, multiple choice. I think, by far, it was the easiest test I've taken this whole time at Vanier, considering it was 65 questions. I'm pretty sure I got them all right. There was maybe only one or two questions that I wasn't positive about but I think I got them right anyways. Can't wait to find out what I got!

Since I finished the test in like 30 minutes, I was able to see Sandra for a bit longer before my maps and mapping class. (Your favorite class, Kelly!) XD Anywho, got out like around 11:30ish. Found Sandra. We bought our lunch. I finally didn't get an end piece of garlic bread! Yay! ^_^ After we bought our lunch, we found an empty classroom and waited for Kelly to arrive. Lol, Kelly, I just remembered the soup that you bought! Cream of shit! Lmao. God, I love Sandra. *rolls eyes* Played hangman like usual. Yup, yup. It was nice to see you, Kelly. Sandra and I weren't by ourselves trying to entertain one another. Lol.

Then, after UB, was the wonderful fitness appraisal I was so looking forward to. Not! The only good thing was that we didn't have to walk outside like usual. So, we started off with a vertical jump, then um, side planks, and then grip strength. And then we switched gyms and went and did our 12 minute run. Which basically killed me and my gym buddy, Gavi. But, we were able to do 10 laps in 12 minutes. We were happy that we got into the double digits. XD Then, we did the sit-ups and push-ups. I do not like push-ups. And that's final. And then we went upstairs and measured our height, weight, waist, and hip. We then figured out our BMI (and I'm considered in the healthy range! Yay!) and our waist-to-hip ratio (and I ended up going into the high risk category. O_O ). And then we were done! ^_^

After I checked my email and such when I got home, I took a little nap. I was pooped. I think it was an hour long or something. Wasn't as bad as yesterday when I think I slept for like almost 3 hours. Lindsay is sleep-deprived.....

Oh, and for anyone that doesn't know, there was a total lunar eclipse tonight. And I was able to see it from my kitchen. It was freakin' awesome! You could even see Saturn. I tried taking a picture of the moon but my camera doesn't zoom in close enough for a good look. Oh well! It was amazing nonetheless. ^_^

Another week!

  • Feb. 18th, 2008 at 6:15 PM
The start of another week. Yay. Anywhoooo. So, when I got outside this morning, it was actually pretty warm outside.. considering it's still winter.

My English teacher changed our class room last week so now we're permanently in the E building instead of N. And I don't like the change at all. Ya, the room's better. But I don't like the fact that it's in the E building. I liked it better when I was in the N buiding since my locker's in N. Oh well. I'll have to get used to it being in E now.

Maps and mapping was my second class. We just took notes. And then it was break! XD Went off to the K lockers and joined the rest of the gang that was there. I tried to work on my French homework but was disturbed by like everyone that was there. XD And of course, Kelly, Jason took my phone again! As long as he gives it back...

And I got to see my Kelly today! My wonderful black-eyed, drugged-up chipmunk. And she had pills with her. One of which was penicillin that Lindsay had to stay away from as she is allergic.

Supper's ready, off I go!

UB and gym

  • Feb. 6th, 2008 at 11:01 PM
I actually went to bed last night at 11pm. O_O Wow. I had like 7 hours of sleep last night. Amazing! Lol.

Anyways, I guess I was running late this morning cause I missed the 22 bus. I had to wait like 20 minutes for the next bus. It should have been the 17 but it never showed up. Thank goodness for the 19. After I got off the train, I missed the 171 bus by a couple of seconds. I ended up making it to my first class with 2 minutes to spare. Phew.

After taking notes in psych class, I went back to my locker to get my notebook for my next class and my gym clothes for gym after UB. I ended up chilling with Sandra for half an hour before my maps and mapping class (cue laughter from Kelly). Took notes in that class too. But that class has been easy so far.

UB! Alone time with Sandra, lol. We spent almost 2 hours just the two of us. Ya. My class ended early at 11:30 so we went right away to the caf and I bought linguini and she got penne. And we both got garlic bread! When we found a classroom to eat, we started to talk about random stuff, trying to keep ourselves entertained. At one point, I was talking about the garlic bread at school. I was like 'I love the garlic bread here, except when I get an end piece'. After I said that, I picked up my piece of garlic bread and flipped it over... only to find out it was an end piece! Irony. Fun. Around 1 I think, we both went in search of Kelly and her Robotics meeting. Her meeting finally ended and we bought stuff from the caf (I got chocolate milk!) We then headed up to the K lockers to hang out for 15 minutes before our classes.

Gym class was fun! I can't believe I just said that, lol! We headed out first thing to do our walk and I once again hung out with Gavi (I thought her name was Gaby but I was wrong... it sounds the same though!). We had fun just laughing about the silliest things. When we got back, we did more exercises. What did we do today? Hmmm.... something called the Superman. And Doggie legs (LMAO). We did dips. And squat jumps. And side planks. Andddd.... what else? I can't remember... oh, push ups again! And bicycle crunches. I think that might be it... not sure. Anywho, after that we did theory and then we were done. Gavi and I walked together to my locker and then she had to leave for her next class. I actually have a good time in gym with her. If I hadn't made friends with her, I'm sure I'd be having a miserable time in gym. But I actually really like the class and feel good afterwards with all the exercise I did! XD I'm sure I'll be sore tomorrow...

I barely made the train this afternoon too. Anywho, when I got on, I couldn't believe it. Every single seat was taken and people were actually standing up. I've been using the trains since August, and not once, not once, has the afternoon trains been this busy. I couldn't believe it! Did everyone decide to take that train?

*Happy Halloween!

  • Oct. 31st, 2007 at 11:30 PM
The HOTTEST ORIGINAL graphics on the NET at Sparkletags.Com

Happy Halloween everyone! XD

Anyways, so, yesterday, I wake up at 5:40, like usual. I check class cancellations, and, omg, my first class, western civ is cancelled! Yay! So, I decided that I would need to get up at 9:30 to get the 10:21 train that would get me to school on time for my 11:30 class. That meant, an extra 3 hours of sleep! Only problem was, it took me almost an hour to fall back asleep. And when I finally did, I had nightmares that I had arrived late to class cause I missed the train/bus. In reality though, I didn’t miss anything and got to class on time.

After the movie was finished in my anthro class, I headed to my locker to drop off my books and took a bus to the B-d-B train station. While I waited 20 minutes for the train, I read Naruto. My fingers were freezing by the time the train arrived.

Also, last night, I decided that I wanted to try something out this morning. Usually, I wake up at 5:40 and take the 6:39 train even when I have 8:30 classes. Today, I wanted to see if I would have time to get to my class if I took the 7:24 train which would give me almost an hour extra of sleep. So, that’s what I did this morning. Although, at 5:40, my iPod alarm went off since I forgot to change it. I jumped out of bed and finally realized what was making that sound. It took me about 20 minutes to fall back asleep. Anywho, the 17 bus was PACKED this morning. One guy even had to stand up. The 17 bus at 6:20 is like empty. I even had to stand in the train this morning because it was so packed. Whatever, I got to school on time and got an extra hour of sleep. All is good. I think that’s what I’ll do on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays when I have 8:30 classes. On Mondays and Thursdays, I’ll wake up at the usual 5:40 since those classes start at 8.

I had economics first. Fun, fun. NOT. As soon as class ended, I headed back to N and dropped off my books. Before meeting up with Kelly in K, I went to the bathroom. Well, for the past three or four days, I haven’t been feeling well and I didn’t know why. Now I know why. I had a nice little surprise waiting for me in the bathroom, if you know what I mean. ;)

My goodness, a lot of Kelly’s friends by the K lockers had dressed up and this one guy, Nathan.. well.. his costume was freakin’ hilarious. At about 10:25, Kelly and I headed off to her class. On the way, we picked up candy and these pumpkin stress balls:

Anywho, as we’re on our way to the class, we pass Alli who is in Kelly’s class walking in the opposite direction. Kelly asks her where she’s going and she tells us that class was cancelled. Kelly asked why and Alli said that the teacher needed to go to the hospital. O_O What? Kelly and I head up to the class and the teacher is standing in the doorway of the classroom. I just want to mention, he’s also my teacher for anthro so I was concerned. As Kelly gave him an assignment that was due today, she asked him what was wrong. Apparently, he lost sight in one eye and he doesn’t know what’s happening. I’d be so scared if I suddenly couldn’t see in one eye.

So, Kelly and I waited for Sandra to arrive and then we just hung out in the empty classroom. We talked and played hangman. Around 12, Kelly and I headed down to the caf. I bought spaghetti and garlic bread and Kelly just bought garlic bread. Before buying lunch, we found Steph and told her where we were eating lunch. Then, on the way back to the classroom, we bumped into Jes and she joined us on the way up. We continued to play hangman till the end of break.

My last class was pretty easy. We just handed in our homework at the beginning. Then, the teacher made us do a quick assignment after that. She gave us all papers and asked us to answer a question that she wrote on the board: how are you doing so far? She told us it didn’t necessarily mean how we’re doing in the class, or even in school, but could be in life in general. Wow, no teacher has every asked me that question before. Makes you think.

As soon as class was over, I headed straight outside to the bus stop. When I got out my iPod, it wouldn’t turn on!! O_O I tried resetting it but that didn’t work. I was a little pissed off. Whatever. I took the metro and two buses home. On the 9 bus, I began reading Naruto 13 and could not stop reading. I ended up finishing the whole manga about 5 minutes into the 22 bus ride. Yup, yup.

I beat my dad home. :D As soon as I got home, I tried opening this container with drugs that I could take. But, Lindsay couldn’t open them! I remember sometime last year when I had my period that one night I woke up and tried opening it up. I couldn’t so I had to get my mom to open it and it even took her awhile. Ya, so, today, I tried opening it for about 10 minutes and couldn’t. Grr…

Ya, I gave up. Damn it. So, my dad got home about 30 minutes later. I instantly gave him the container to open. He did it with one try. O_O My dad’s amazing. I asked him if he had another contained I could use and he did. Thank goodness. Anywho, I told him that Doug was going to be around at Nick and Laura’s house till 7 for us to bring the movies back. So, my dad and I left and headed, through the traffic, to their house.

When we got there, Doug wasn’t actually there! So, we chatted with Laura and Nick and everyone else that was there. About 15 minutes later, Doug arrived. He brought along with him, about 10 bags full of candy. O_O Woah. So, my dad and I ended up chatting with Doug for almost two hours while Laura, Nick, Shawn, cute little Steph, and a bunch of other people went out trick-or-treating. Lol, sometime during the night, a firetruck was passing by and I got this cool picture (in my opinion):

You know what else? I ended up getting candy from Doug.. and I wasn’t even dressed up for Halloween. Although, if anybody asks, I was dressed as a muggle. XD Oh yay, that’s right, a muggle! XD

~Lindsay

P.S. NaNoWriMo has officially started! I write this on November 1st, 12:13am. :D I shall start writing tomorrow on the train ride. Can't wait!

P.P.S. Drive safely tomorrow Doug! I shall see you again in less than two months! XD

So cold....

  • Oct. 29th, 2007 at 10:47 PM
Ya, so it was like 25 degrees F this morning. Yes, that would be coooold. *cries* As soon as I started walking to the bus stop this morning, my first thought was my butt was cold. All I was wearing was my usual thin, pink sweater and my white jacket.. with a scarf and mittens! Brrrrrr….

Got to school about half an hour early. Finished reading Naruto 11. About 15 minutes before my class, Shawn appeared and he went on his laptop. I just kept my eyes closed till about 7:55 then I headed to English class. I guess it was a good thing we didn’t do any grammar today. But still, I was bored. My teacher began talking about the background information for our next book which we’re not reading for like another couple of weeks so… ya, I was bored. At least he let us out early.

I ended up going to the class next door cause I knew Kelly’s next class was there. I was just intending to say hello and leave. When I got to the class, Sandra was already there. I sat in a seat and talked to her while I waited for Kelly. When Kelly did get there, I joked that I was gonna join her class for the day. Kelly asked why not? So, I ended up staying for her archaeology class! He’s the same teacher I have for my anthro class. I wasn’t bored either. The teacher is amazing in his classes! I half-listened to him and did my homework that’s due Wednesday for humanities at the same time.

Geo class was great! We had one last group to present today. They needed the computer but it wouldn’t start up. So, our teacher tried getting it on but it then began to emit a high-pitched beeping sound. Kelly and I joked that it was gonna explode! XD Oh! I finally got my birthday card from Kelly! It was all pretty and handmade! I wuv it! :D Here's a pic of all the cards I got:

We all had to buy our lunch today and we didn’t feel like caf food so we ended up walking, in the freakin’ cold, to this pizza place on Decarie. Wow, that was good pizza! Plus, Kelly and Sandra shared their fries with me! XD We then walked back to school and to the gym since Sandra had volleyball at 2. Kelly and I then headed up to A3 since my class was there at 2:30.

My last class was humanities. It was actually pretty fun. My teacher went off topic like 5 times; it was hilarious! As soon as class ended, I headed straight to the bus stop. The bus was supposed to arrive at 3:51 but never did. Around 3:55, a bus appeared but it ended up being the 121 bus. Gah! Then, another 121 bus appeared shortly thereafter. Finally, some time around 4, the 171 bus appeared. It became PACKED. I had missed the 4:07 train and the next one was at 4:42. I didn’t feel like standing in the cold at B-d-B for 30 minutes, so I took the metro to De La Concorde instead. Just 10 minutes in the cold was hell.

Man, I was pooped when I got home. My dad and I ate supper like 30 minutes after we got home. We watched a show I had taped last Thursday, Are You Smarter Than A Canadian Fifth Grader. It was the premiere and the host was Colin Mocharie. I love him. XD

I then checked my mail on my computer. By 8, my eyes were getting droopy and I knew it was time for a nap. I had an hour before my show, Heroes, was on. So, I curled up on my bed with my blanket and closed my eyes. I ended up waking at 8:59. O_O Woah. I missed like the first minute or so of Heroes. Oh well. And I have to mention that I don’t like cliffhanger endings!! Grrr…

Oh! A little update of what I did yesterday. After supper yesterday, I finally joined this HP roleplaying site that Laura referred me to. I sent in my application and then Laura accepted me! Yay! I immediately created my character journal on LiveJournal. I ended up spending like 2 or 3 hours on that… hehehe.. I’m so excited Laura about it! When I logged on, I had like 21 messages! I was all like ooooooooo. XD *special*

Amazing Grace

  • Oct. 24th, 2007 at 7:22 PM
I believe this will be a shorter entry compared to yesterday’s mammoth one. Hehehe…

So, it was cold this morning when I woke up. Oh joy. Oh! I found a quarter on the floor by the bus stop this morning. Yay me! XD It was still cold when I got on the train and cold when I got off. I didn’t even bother waiting for the second, emptier 171 bus cause I was too cold.

When I got to school, I had about an hour before my first class. So, I first finished reading Naruto 9. Then, I read something for my last class, humanities, today. A bit after 8, I headed towards my economics class on the 5th floor of D. Killer. In class, a couple of times, I just closed my eyes… while I was sitting in the front row. Hehehe… Couldn’t keep them open. Oh well! I was still listening to the teacher though. I don’t like economics. It’s boring as hell.. probably cause I learned all about it like 6 months ago in Florida. *yawn*

The teacher actually let us out like 5 minutes early. O_O She’s never let us out early before. So, I dropped off my books and then headed to the K lockers. I waited there for Kelly to arrive. About 10 minutes later, I see her turning the corner. We then hung at the K lockers for a bit.

I found myself humming this tune which was very familiar to both me and Kelly. She thought it was Amazing Grace but I said it couldn’t be. Then, Darren, a guy that was hanging out there helped us figure out what song I was humming. He said it was Amazing Grace. How in the hell did I get that song stuck in my head?? Who knows!

I then walked Kelly to her 10:30 class and I headed to the resource center. I started on homework for my humanities class. After Kelly’s class was finished, she walked me down to the caf as I bought my spaghetti and garlic bread. Unfortunately, I had to wait like 3 minutes for the bread cause the guy in front of me got he last piece. Grr..

When I finally had my food bought, Kelly told me that our usual K classroom was taken again so we were meeting Sandra in A3. When we got there, we all went to this classroom at the end of the hall. Sandra had brought along Jes and Rosslyn (I think that’s how you spell her name…). Anywho, we all ate and then Sandra got up and we began playing hangman like usual. Fun, fun. By the end, Stef, who was also there, was creating sentences in German, Russian, and Spanish. (She’s in the modern languages program). Then Kelly went up and did Japanese. I was able to get the two first words! XD

Around 1:10, we all departed for our classes. Everyone (except Sandra who had left 10 minutes earlier to go see a teacher) walked to the D building. Stef left us in the B building for her class. On D2, Rosslyn and I said goodbye to Kelly and Jes. Rosslyn and I then walked together since we were in the same class: humanities.

In humanities, we got back our mid-term tests we did last week. I got 49/64 which is like 77%. I passed! We then went over the test. I think I’m gonna schedule an appointment with the teacher cause I think I should have more points based on what we said while we were correcting. I’ll do it sometime next week when I have time. We then went over what we exactly had to do for the assignment. I had already finished it during my break but I didn’t do what she wanted (she hadn’t told us before hand what we were supposed to do so I just guessed at what we were supposed to do.. and I was wrong, lol). Oh well! Class finally ended and I rushed to the bus stop.

I missed the 2:46 bus so I had to wait for the 2:55. I knew I wouldn’t be able to make the 3:02 train so I was gonna have to take the metro and the two buses home. I checked before hand that the 9 bus leaves at 3:36 so I was praying I would make it. I did! With about 3 minutes to spare! :D I started reading Naruto 10 which Kelly gave me today. On the 22 bus though, I didn’t feel like reading anymore. I wanted to save the rest for the train tomorrow. Instead, I just listened to music and “napped”. Although, I continually opened my eyes just to see where we were.

I think that’s all for today! Off to go watch America’s Next Top Model in about 20 minutes. I think I’m gonna call it an early night tonight… I’m tired… zzzzzzzz

~Lindsay

P.S. I really love this new theme! Especially the colors. Very pretty combination. XD Too bad it's only staying up for about a week.. a new one goes up for November! :D

5-day post... hehehe

  • Oct. 23rd, 2007 at 11:43 PM
Wow, I haven’t posted since last Thursday. My bad. Hehehe… Anyways, so, let’s see, last Friday… During my first class, western civ, I found out that my teacher was cancelling both her classes this week. Yay! That meant I could sleep in 3 extra hours on Tuesday (today) and 1 or 2 on Friday (still have to figure that out).

My next class, economics, was cancelled! Yay! So, I headed to this D hallway on the second floor where there are these window benches. I was gonna wait there for Kelly. As I was waiting, I studied for my anthro mid-term which was my next class. Anywho, Jason (Kelly’s friend that I met last November when I visited) came along. I wished him a happy birthday cause I knew he was turning 20 that day. He then invited me to hang at the K locker with him and his friends. So, I studied and talked with his friends, most of whom I knew. About 20 minutes later, Kelly texted Jason saying she would be late which meant I wouldn’t be able to see her. Oh well. A bit before 11:30, I headed off with Jason to A3. We both had our classes there and we were both taking tests. Fun, fun.

After my class, I met up with Laura in her last class. A guy was there speaking about his communications program that he was in. He then showed us pictures at the end and two videos. Cool, cool. Laura and I then met up with her boyfriend and we headed home. Stopping off on the way at Subways for a bite to eat. Holy crap, Daisy, Laura’s dog, is HUGE. Biggest dog I’ve ever seen! Doug, he’s bigger than King even was!

Laura and I hung out after she dropped her boyfriend off at work. We went shopping and then got some Chinese food. And then we watched a movie: Not Another Teen Movie. Hilarious. Laura then drove me home which I then promptly went to bed because I was exhausted.

Saturday.. my dad and I went to Chapters. He bought some books and I got 2 more manga books in the Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles series. Yay! Not much else happened on Saturday…

Sunday was my daddy’s birthday! He turned 59. Wow! When I woke up, I gave him my present. He enjoyed the card I bought and he loved the movie. XD We didn’t do much else that day, just chilled.

Monday.. hmm.. oh! When I got outside in the morning, the sky was so clear I could see every single star. It was amazing and breath-taking. Anywho, when I got on the 171 bus, lo and behold, Kelly was on it! Yay!

My first class, English, was boring as usual. Then I spent my break with Laura and Krissie and a bunch of other people at their locker that I didn’t know. I then had geo with Kelly and Sandra. The whole class was the continuation of presentations. Yuck. Only one group left to present next Monday.

I didn’t feel like getting the usual pizza for lunch so I bought poutine instead. Wow, haven’t had that in like 3 years. Last time was at RHS. O_O Unfortunately, I couldn’t eat it all cause I got the large. Bad mistake. Anywho, I had fun with Kelly and Sandra in a classroom playing hangman.

My last class was technically cancelled. We had to go see a presentation (as part of Social Science Festival Week) in the auditorium. Kelly walked me there and since we were like 45 minutes early, we talked for the whole time. Then, 2:30 arrived and she had to leave for her class. The presentation was on prostitution and how it’s biased. It was a very interesting presentation. I took a lot of notes…

Tuesday! Almost done! Got up at 9 this morning. This was the first time I have slept in since the beginning of semester! Cool! Anywho, I took my time eating breakfast first thing (I had a pop-tart). I ended up finishing getting ready like 20 minutes early. Precious time I could have spent sleeping in, oh well! My dad then drove me to the train station. Oh, I forgot to mention, I woke up and it was raining. Oh, such fun. And it was still raining when I got on the train.

Wow, I couldn’t believe how few people were on the train at 10:21. It wasn’t even a two-floor train, just one floor. Anyways, so, I’m reading my book when I see the “inspectors”. They were checking for tickets/cards. Haven’t seen them since the summer that one time. Took me awhile to find my card in the depths of my bag.

Well, it was still raining when I got off the bus and got to school. Yuck. When I got there, I headed directly to building D cause I knew Kelly was giving a presentation as part of the SSFW. I finally found her and she gave me a quick version of her presentation. About 10 minutes later, I headed off to my class.

I had French and it was our last mid-term test: listening. In high school, when we had listening tests, we would have the questions before hand and in paper. This one, the text was read and the questions were dictated right afterwards. So, it sucked that I couldn’t actually *see* the questions. Oh well. After that, she handed back a test we had done last week. She kept mine though cause she didn’t have her own paper and I had gotten 42/45. I believe it was the highest mark in the class. Awesome! XD

She then let us out so I met up with Kelly and Sandra in the B stairwell. Andrea then joined us a couple of minutes later. A bit before 1, Kelly walked me to the auditorium. My anthro class was also technically cancelled and I had to listen to another presentation. It was actually quite interesting and awe-inspiring. It was done by 6 students and they all told about stories in which they were inspired to change. It was really moving.

Alright, I think that’s the end of this very looong entry! Oh, I’m sure you all noticed my new theme – Halloween! Hehehehe… Alright, I’m off to bed now! Night!

~Lindsay

P.S. Doug, hope you’re driving safely! I’ll be calling you sometime tomorrow night! :D

P.P.S. This entry took like 30 minutes to write.. O_O

Presentation

  • Oct. 18th, 2007 at 11:29 PM
Guess what? No, it wasn't cold today, it was actually pretty "warm"! When I stepped out this morning, I was like, woah. It definitely wasn't as cold as it was yesterday! XD And omg, when I got to the train station, when I walked inside, there was this big-ass, black vending machine selling energy drinks. It was HUGE. I don't think I've ever seen a vending machine bigger than that one!

While I was on the bus this morning, I got a text from Kelly. In the end, I told her I would wait for her when I got off cause she was only a couple of buses behind. In the end, I waited like 15-20 minutes but since it wasn't cold, it wasn't bad. Kelly got off with Steph and the three of us walked together to the N building.

My first class was English, yay. The teacher handed back a grammar exercise we did last class. I got 8/10 and the two mistakes I made were so stupid, gah! After that, he gave us the Scarlet Letter quiz we were supposed to do Monday. While we began, he said that as soon as we were done, we could leave since he had a meeting later to go to. Yay. I ended up finishing class 45 minutes early.

Since I didn't have class for another hour and I was hungry, I ended up walking to Tim Hortons and buying a donut. Walked back to the social science resource center, right beside my geo class. I then worked on my presentation so Kelly and I were second for presentations. After awhile, Sandra showed up and we talked about our presentations.

Geo class finally started and the teacher passed back our tests. Kelly and I both got 27/30, that's 90%. Yay! :D Then... the presentations started. Sandra was first with her very hot partner, Tarek. Then, it was Kelly and I. I connected my flashdrive and started our powerpoint. And then we began! Since it was a powerpoint, the class was copying the notes down. Kelly and I took alternate turns talking about the slides. But the thing was, we finished talking about the slide before everyone was finished copying the notes, so we ended up standing there, silent, for a minute or two for each slide waiting. It was hilarious. Oh well. I was glad when it was over. We had a good laugh while we were up there! XD

My last class was French and I thought we were doing the listening test today. Ya, I was wrong. It turned out to be the writing test. The teacher told us like last week, for the writing test, we were allowed our dictionaries and bescherelles. Since I thought it was the listening test today, I didn't have either. Oh, crap. Thankfully, there was a girl sitting behind me and one row over that I knew so I borrowed her dictionary. Phew. As soon as I finished, I quickly headed to the bus stop. I thought I might catch a bus that gets there 20 minutes earlier than the next one. I caught it! And I also made it for the 1pm train!!! Yay!! :D

Well, at least tomorrow I don't have to worry about it because... I'm spending the afternoon with Laura! Yay! As soon as I'm done my last class, I'm gonna meet up with her and go to her last class. We're then going to go to her house and order chinese food for lunch. And then we're gonna watch some movies. Of course, that plan might change, who knows! XD

Well, I'm off to bed. I'm tired even though I took a two, almost three, hour nap this afternoon. My eyes were too heavy. Ugh, I have an 8:30 class tomorrow so I'll probably be falling asleep in my first class. And then I have economics... zzzzzzzzz And then my anthro mid-term! Eeek!

Break, mid-terms and airplanes!

  • Oct. 17th, 2007 at 9:47 PM

Usually in the morning, I open the front door before getting dressed to see how cold it is outside. Ya, today, I didn't even bother. I knew the inevitable truth: it was cold. I was right. I have got to get a warmer jacket to wear... brrr...

So, last night I was asleep around 11:30. That's two extra hours compared to the night before! Even though I got more sleep, I almost fell asleep again in my first class: economics. Ya it's boring but for some reason, my eyes just will not stay open during my 8:30 classes. Gah.

Anyways, after class, I bumped into Kelly and we then went to the B stairwell. Kelly and Sandra had a midterm in their next class so they were studying. And I was eating a chocolate brownie that I bought from the caf. I was hungry. XD So, at like 10:15, I walked them both to class, wished them luck and said goodbye.

So, it's my dad's b-day this Sunday and I wanted to get him a present today since I had this uber long break. He mentioned the other day that he really, really liked Julia Roberts, especially in the movie Pretty Woman. So, I went online and found the nearest HMV store to school. Turns out there was one in Place Vertu which was a 15 bus ride away. So, I took the 121 bus to the mall. I went to Hallmark and got a card (plus I got free chocolate there too! :D) and then I bought the movie at HMV. I was also gonna buy Erin Brockovich but they didn't have the movie. I just have to wrap the present now and sign the card. Yup, yup.

When I got back to school, I went and bought my spaghetti w/garlic bread. Kelly had a meeting so she wasn't gonna be able to spend lunch with us. So, after buying lunch, I headed directly to the K classroom where we usually eat. But, when I got there, there was a bunch of people inside. Uh oh. And I didn't know where Sandra was and I don't have her number. So, I texted to Kelly if she knew where Sandra was. While I was waiting for a reply, Sandra and Jessica appeared! Since the classroom was occupied, we decided to go eat in the B stairwell. Yup, yup. Along the way, we met up with Jes. And Emily joined us halfway through.

Sometime around 1, I felt my phone vibrating. It was my dad! He wanted to know something about my passport cause he was going to the voyage place to buy my airplane tickets. So, I told him where my passport was in my room. Soon after that, Kelly texted Sandra that her meeting was over and we can join her. She was only one floor above where we were sitting. So, I walked Kelly and Jes to D2. Then, Sandra and I said goodbye and headed to B where my class was. She had break until 4 or something so.. Anywho, Sandra stayed with me until my class started and we said goodbye.

My last class was a mid-term, fun fun. It wasn't as bad as I thought but I wished I had studied a couple of things in particular before the test. Oh well. I skipped I think only like 5 questions out of 62 so it's not that bad. Since I finished the test early, I was able to leave. I walked real quick to N and dropped off my binder. I then quickly walked to the bus stop. As I was walking along Cote-Vertu to get to the stop, I see the 171 bus pass me. Oh crap. I start sprinting towards the bus stop. The light was green so tecnically, the bus could have gone but the driver waited for me as I ran. So nice! :D Since I was early, I was even able to catch the 3:02 train! Yay!

When I got to Rosemere, I headed towards Uniprix and noticed my dad in the passenger seat. He said he was tired of driving so I got to drive home. XD And I didn't hit the curb like I did last time. Hehehe. When I got home, my dad showed me the airplane plan:

Departure at Montreal 12/24 @ 1pm to Toronoto @ 2:20pm
Departure at Toronto @ 4:05pm to Fort Myers @ 7:10pm (is that too late for Fujiyama's, Doug??)

Departure at Fort Myers 1/18 @ 8pm to Toronoto @ 11:05pm
Departure at Toronto @ 12:30am to Montreal @ 1:45am (yes, that's in the morning!)

Yup, that's the plan! :D Can't wait! My dad told me it was his Christmas present for me. Yay! XD Well, I'm off now to work with Kelly on our geo presentation tomorrow.

Sleepy and Florida!

  • Oct. 16th, 2007 at 10:31 PM
Cold again this morning. I definitely need to get something warmer to wear. I currently am just wearing my pink sweater with my white jacket. Plus a scarf. Meh.

So, first class this morning, I could barely stay away. I mean, mentally, I was awake but my eyes just could not stay open. A couple of times I just kept my eyes closed for a minute or so while the teacher talked. And I was sitting in the front row. Hehehe.

After class ended, I headed for Subway. It was nice and warm. When I got back to school, I headed for the social science resource center. But it was packed. So, I went to the opposite end of the hall where there's this other small room. For like 2 minutes, I re-read a text for my French class which was my next class. But soon, I was bored and closed my eyes for 30 minutes. Zzzzz..

As soon as French class started, she handed us tests. We had a test today, we're gonna have a test on Thursday and a test next Tuesday. Fun fun. Today's test was pretty easy though. Just asked us questions from the 2 texts we had read. Then, on the test, another text was given and we had to answer questions based on it. Easy easy. Once we were done, we were allowed to leave.

I finished early and ended up leaving 45 minutes early! XD I knew Kelly had break at that time so I texted her. While I was in the bathroom, I got a reply. I was just replying back to her as I walked out when there she was! Right outside the bathroom! XD So, Kelly, Sandra, Andrea, and I went outside and sat down. After like 15 minutes, we went back inside and sat on the floor on A3. Kelly then walked me to my class.

My last class was anthro and we just went over what we had to review for our mid-term this Friday. He ended up letting us out early! :D I got let out at about 1:50 and the train doesn't come till 3:07. So, I decided to take the 171 bus to the metro and go to Montmorency. I then called up my dad to see if he could pick me up from the Ste-Therese train station cause I would have to wait about 20 minutes for the 22 bus.

When I called my dad, he was at a voyage place in Rosemere talking about my plane tickets! :D Yay! I shall be coming down to Florida from December 24 - January 18th! :D And Doug, I would like to request that we go to Disney and Universal Orlando! I wanna go to Islands of Adventure again (I've only been once!) And I would also like to go to Fujiyama's for my first supper! :D :D :D Can't wait! In two months, I'll be in the nice warm sun!! Finally. no more cold! Get ready for Lindsay, Doug!!

~Lindsay

P.S. I found this quote from Conan O'Brien talking about what George Bush said. You'll recognize it if you saw the video I posted in my last entry:

"During a recent speech, President Bush said, 'My job is a decision-making job. As a result, I have made a lot of decisions.' Apparently, Bush's decision that day was to write his own speech." --Conan O'Brien

Lmao. That was my favorite part of the video too! XD

Happy 19th birthday to me!

  • Oct. 10th, 2007 at 11:10 PM
So, as I'm sure you all now, it's my birthday today! :D Yay! I was thinking, this time last year, I was sweating.. not freezing..

So, my dad told me yesterday that he wanted me to wake him up before I left in the morning today. So, that's what he did. Even though, he already got my presents like 2 weeks ago (speakers and Family Guy), I got another one this morning! The little bag had a card and.. a Habs hat! XD

So, I had economics this morning, first thing. Fun, fun. So, like, halfway through the class, I feel my phone vibrating in my pocket. Ok. I feel it again and again for about five minutes. Turns out, my mom called me.. five times. Let's see, my phone vibrates when someone calls, vibrates again to say I missed a call and another time when a voicemail is left. My mom left a voicemail each time. Do the math: 3 x 5 = 15. My phone vibrated 15 times. Quite annoying when I was "concentrating" in class. Ya.

After class, I dropped off my books in my locker and headed for the K lockers to meet up with Kelly. She was already there! She was the first person at school to wish me happy birthday! :D Then, Darren hugged me and wished me happy birthday. Krissie was off by her locker when she saw me. She then wished me happy birthday and we chatted for like a minute or two. Then, I re-joined Kelly. Only like 2 minutes till I turned 19 at 9:57am. I'm glad to say, I spent the moment I turned 19 with Kelly, lol. So, for about half an hour, I chilled with Kelly, Sean, Daniel (aka "sideburns" as Kelly calls him), and two other people I didn't know (one of which was her birthday as well, weird!) I then walked Kelly to her class and I went off to the resource center to do some homework.

After people started to file out of her class, I walked in and met up with Kelly and Sandra. We all then went down to the caf and then headed to our K classroom. It was only us three! So, we had fun talking and then we eventually went on to play hangman. Near the end of break, Steph joined us. She was late cause she was giving blood downstairs. Eek. When break ended, we all split up and headed for our classes.

So, class ended and I headed to my locker to drop of my book. On the way, I bumped into Kelly. We chatted for like a minute and then headed off in separate directions. Dropped off my books and then headed for the bus stop. Took the metro and two buses to get home.

My god, the second bus was exciting. When I got to the Ste-Therese train station, I was like 10 minutes early for the 22 bus. So, I stood around with a bunch of other people for about 10 minutes. Finally, the bus arrives. The doors open and I walk in first. But, there are like, still two people inside and the bus driver looks at me and says to get out for a second. Alright. So, I do. He closes the doors again. He starts talking to one of the guys who's only like 16 or 17. He then opens the doors and walks away. The driver calls out to him but the doors had closed again. The driver then starts to honk on the horn like a couple of times which scared everyone waiting for the bus. The driver then opens the doors and walks out where the kid was and a couple of other drivers were forming a circle. They were too far away so I couldn't hear what was happening. Eventually, the driver came back and let us on. While people were boarding, another driver or officer walked around to the driver's window with the kid and they started talking. I overheard the driver saying that the kid's picture on his card didn't look right or something or other. We left like 5 minutes late. On the road, the driver was talking in the walkie-talkie and that's when I overheard that he thought the card was a counterfeit. Woah! Anyways, that's about it.. for now. For most of the bus ride, there were these people that were talking pretty loudly. Then, as we're going down Grande-Cote, the driver pulls over. He stops the bus and grabs these papers from the front. He walks to the group of kids and hands them the papers. He says something like this is a public bus not a school bus so you can't talk that loudly. If you want to talk loudly, take a car or walk. Lol. Man, it's just not that driver's day.

So, my dad and I went out for supper to Nickel's in St. Eustache. Yup, yup. I had spaghetti again (I had it for lunch) and he had a smoked meat sandwich. When we got home, my dad gave my another bag! Inside was this box full of chocolates that he bought from a place in Rosemere. Yum.

Also, when we got home, we discovered there was a message on the phone. It was from Doug and company! Thanks a lot guys! Doug, I got the card.. but what present? Lindsay didn't get any present! Oh, and before I forget, I absolutely loved the card - Jack Sparrow!! XD Where did you ever find that??

~Lindsay

P.S. I'm sure I'm forgetting something to write down that happened today but I'm tired. I have two tests tomorrow so I'm gonna go to bed now. XD

P.P.S. Thanks for the three comments, Laura! Don't you just love typos?

Thanksgiving

  • Oct. 9th, 2007 at 10:22 PM
Well, it was Thanksgiving yesterday! Didn't do much. My dad and I just cooked a chicken and had that with crispy fries. Ya, such a real Thanksgiving meal, eh?

So, it was real cold this morning. I couldn't help but see my breath.. brrr... Plus, as I passed the water fountain on the bus, there was a lot of steam rising. Ya, it was cold. Unfortunately, the train was late this morning, so I had to endure five extra minutes of the cold... such fun. And waiting for the bus after the train wasn't fun either. So, ya, the sun was out by then but it was still cold. *sigh*

I had a couple of minutes before English when I got to school so I just worked on the sudoku puzzle on the last page of the Metro paper. English was sorta boring. We finally finished Sir Gawain and we started talking about the background information on the Scarlet Letter. We were supposed to have a quiz on the Scarlet Letter on Thursday but the teacher extended it till Monday since he saw that not many people had started reading the book. Good. One less test on Thursday to worry about. Good thing about English today was that I was let out 15 minutes early.

As I was walking out of English, I bumped into Sandra. She was gonna go to the resource center to finish homework for her class that started at 10. I decided to join her since I was let out early. At like 5 to 10, we headed to her class which was just down the hall. I said goodbye. On the way back to my lockers, I bumped into Kelly. I said hello and we talked for like a minute then she headed to class with Sandra.

On my way to my locker, I texted Laura and found out she was swamped with work so I had an hour and a half to myself. So, since I was hungry, I decided to go to Subway for lunch. I usually go on Tuesdays anyways to Subway, so... ya. When I got back to school, I picked up my backpack and binder and headed to the resource center on A3. My next class was like right next door so like 5 minutes later, the previous class left. I then went inside the class once everyone had filed out.

Kelly and Sandra finally arrived like 10 minutes later. For like maybe 30 minutes, our teacher reviewed what was gonna be on the test this Thursday. He then let us go into our groups and work on our articles. Well, last night, I had done our powerpoint presentation so Kelly and I didn't have anything to do. So, instead, we talked about our NaNo stories. She's gonna be participating this year! Yay! I've recruited another person! XD Man, I seriously, can't wait till November starts! Plus, on the way home today, I got a great idea about a plot point in my story. Yay! :D

After class, Kelly, Sandra and I headed to our usual B staircase. But, lo and behold, someone was sitting there! O_O Noooo... so, instead, we went to the K lockers. Kelly and Sandra ate their lunches (I had already ate mine!) After like 20 minutes, we headed down to the caf and we got cookies (and Kelly got garlic bread, which she shared a piece avec moi). Oh, forgot to mention, Alex arrived (yes, Doug, that would be Kelly's boyfriend). After we got our cookies, we headed back up to the K lockers. After awhile, Sandra left for her gym class. Kelly, Alex, and I just hung around with a bunch of people that Kelly knew.

About 10 minutes before our classes started, Kelly and I headed for our classes. We split off: I headed to A and Kelly and Alex headed to E. My last class was pretty easy: we watched a movie. Since the class ended a bit late, I knew I wouldn't be able to make the train so I took my time. There was gonna be a train at 4:42 which is only like 35 minutes after the one I was gonna miss. Man, it was cold still while I was waiting for the train. Brrr...

Think that's all for now... Oh, it's my birthday tomorrow! Yay! It doesn't actually feel like it though.. maybe cause I already got my presents from Kelly and my dad.. so, I'm not expecting anything tomorrow.. except for a call from you Doug! You can call me between 10-10:30. Or in the evening. If you remember!! XD

Well, I'm gonna go to bed now. I didn't get much sleep last night. Took me awhile to fall asleep. Ya. I'm going now. *waves goodbye*

Long day

  • Sep. 26th, 2007 at 9:46 PM
When my alarm went off this morning, the first thing I felt was humid. I thought maybe it was cause my door was closed and stuff. But no. I opened the front door and even though it was pouring rain outside, it was really hot and humid. Yuck. And it was super dark as I was waiting for the bus under my umbrella. At least it stopped raining (only a drizzle) as I was waiting for the train. I was gonna read my anthro book on the train but I didn't feel like it. Stupid rain.

Since I had like an hour to spare when I got to school, I did my English grammar homework that's due tomorrow. It was uber easy. Just had to write out 10 sentences, cross out prepositional phrases and underline the subject and verb. *yawn* My first class was economics which meant the fifth floor in D. Gah, I hate economics just cause it is on the fifth floor. Holy crap, walking up five floors is killer. That's why, today, Lindsay did something smart. When I got to building D from N, I walked up one set of stairs and entered the hallway. I then walked to the next staircase and walked up two sets of stairs. I then walked back down the hallway (which happened to be the nursing hallway, oh joy), and then walked up the final flight of stairs. I had divided it up. And it was easier than doing five flights of stairs right in a row. Killer. And omg, my class was so freakin hot. Almost every single person was sweating. There's only two windows in the class and they were open but there was barely a breeze. Hoooooot. Good thing was that our teacher let us out 30 minutes early. Yay!

Then my 3+ hour break started. Kelly comes in at 10 so I dropped off my books and waited for her to arrive by the K lockers. While I was waiting for her, Krissie walked down the hallway! She came up to me and we chatted for a couple of minutes and then she left. Around 10:05, Kelly still hadn't arrived so I texted her. She told me she had missed her bus and would be arriving late to her 10:30 class. So, I decided to head to the floor on which her class was so I would say hello to her when she did arrive. Sandra (who is also in Kelly's class) appeared 5 minutes late to class. She asked if Kelly was already there and I told her no, she missed her bus. Sandra had missed her bus also and that's why she was late. About five minutes later, Kelly finally appeared. I said hello to her but she didn't have time to chat, she was already like 10-15 minutes late. So, I sat on the third floor, reading in my anthro book.

Kelly's class was let out five minutes early so I packed up my things. I then walked into the classroom and joined Kelly and Sandra. Sandra then headed off to the K classroom we use during UB while Kelly and I headed down to the caf. Lindsay was buying her lunch again. I bought pasta and garlic bread. Yum. About ten minutes after Kelly and I arrived to the classroom, Sandra had to leave cause she had to do homework with a partner from one of her classes. So, it was then just me and Kelly. Dun dun dun. We talked together for a couple of minutes. Then, Jessica arrived, and we became three! Around 12:30 or so, we had finished eating so we decided to go to the library so we could work on our homework. But, when we got there, it was full and there were no tables free that we could use. Oh well! So, we headed back to the K classroom, lol.

My last class of the day was Tying the Knot (humanities class). We were talking about dating and halfway through the class, our teacher posed a question about dating and "seeing each other". This guy didn't understand what the difference was between the two and somehow, the whole class seemed to abrupt into arguing. It was hilarious. Ya, you had to be there...

As soon as class was over, I headed directly to the bus stop. Finally, finally!, the bus arrived. I only had a couple of minutes to get to the train station. I knew I wasn't going to make it so I decided I would have to take the metro and then two buses (like I do for Thursdays and Fridays). Yup, it took like 2 hours to get home. *sigh* I sorta slept on one of the buses. I think for like 5 minutes, I actually fell asleep and had a dream. Weird. But then I awoke. Ya. I was tired. I hate Mondays and Wednesdays just because they're my two longest days. *yawn* I think I shall go to bed.

~Lindsay

P.S. Thanks for the link, Laura! I shall check it out this weekend and join! XD

No French.. and no shrimp...

  • Sep. 25th, 2007 at 11:31 PM
Well, when I got to school today, I checked the class cancellations again to see if any of my classes had been cancelled since I checked at 5:30. And sure enough, my French class was cancelled! Yay! Anywho, I had like an hour before my first class so I worked on my anthro homework. I also worked on it that morning on the train ride. Anywho, before my first class started, I texted Kelly to see when she had break. I usually don't see Kelly at all on Tuesdays but since my class was cancelled... So, I had break then from 10-1 and Kelly had class from 10-12. So, I was going to be able to spend an hour with her! Cool!

After my first class, I dropped off my books and went to the library. For more than an hour, I did my anthro homework. I got a lot done! Yay! A bit after 11, I headed off to Subway to buy my lunch. I ate there. As I was eating, a guy that worked there, passed out pieces of a cookie to every one in the restaurant. Yay! A free cookie! XD

I got back to school just as Kelly was walking out of her classroom. Kelly had to buy her lunch so I tagged along to the caf. We then went back to the B stairwell where Sandra and Jessica were already waiting. Andrea then came along. Around 12:30, we decided to go outside. As we were sitting on the ground, this squirrel came real close to us. Kelyl started feeding it Rice Krispies which it seemed to enjoy greatly! Then, Lindsay had to leave cause I had class at 1. Kelly still had break till 2. I hugged her goodbye and off I went to anthro.

Oh, Doug, I just got all those pics you sent to my email. Um, I just wanna say this: I no longer love you. That video you sent.. was 7 minutes in hell. I was basically weeping at the end, thanks, thanks a lot. When you come to Canada in October, you had better bring me some shrimp from Fujiyama's or I swear, I will no longer talk to you. It's been more than 4 months without shrimp!!!

~Lindsay

Break

  • Sep. 19th, 2007 at 11:10 PM
So, the bus I take in the morning to the train station is usually number 17. This morning, it said 20 Gare de Rosemere. Interesting... I wonder why it said 20??

So, when I got to school, I watched some podcast videos before my economics class started. On the way to class, I bumped into Krissie. The bells were ringing in the background from the church. She told me she had a class at 8 and then asked me what time it was. I told her that since the bells were ringing, I presumed it was 8. She laughed and hurried off to class.

After economics, I dropped off my books at my locker. I then headed for the K locker. For the last two weeks, that's where I met Kelly since she only got in around 10 (when I finish my class). She wasn't there, so I texted her as I went and sat on a window ledge in the hallway. Like two seconds later, Kelly walks down the hallway! Wow, perfect timing! So, we hung out at the K lockers with Sean T. and Shawn M. (not the Shawn from the lockers in N). Anywho, ya, we chatted for like half an hour. Then, Shawn left. Finally, Kelly got her butt off the floor since she had a class at 10:30 and it was like 10:28 or something. Yup yup.

I sat near her classroom and finished off my Tsubasa manga. It was my last book! There are two other ones in print but I haven't got them yet. As I was reading though, my mom called?!?!?! She was surprised that I answered. She was calling to leave a message. Apparently, her car insurance company doesn't believe that I moved to Quebec and am now attending college here. They won't take me off her insurance plan until they see proof. So, my mom wanted me to send a photocopy of my student card and a copy of my confirmation letter. Ya, I found that funny. Anywho, earlier, at the lockers, Kelly surprised me by lending me her first Naruto manga book. So, I began reading that after I finished Tsubasa. After a couple of minutes though, Sheena came along and we started talking until Kelly got out of class.

With Sandra with us, we headed down to the caf so I could buy my lunch. We also met up with Steph down there. Lindsay got pasta and garlic bread, yummm. While we were waiting for Steph to buy her lunch, Kelly was eating the pasta off my plate. She was hungry! XD As usual, we sat in this abandonned K classroom. After lunch, we headed to our classes. Mine was in B. Last class of the day!

As soon as class ended, I headed straight to the bus stop. I had like 10 minutes to get to the train station to catch the 3:02 train. I knew it was impossible so I was gonna take the bus to Henri-Bourassa and then take the metro and two buses to get home. I still had my fingers crossed that I could make the train. Well, as we were approaching the train station, I saw something moving off the train station platform. I had missed the train. Oh well. At least, the way I was gonna take, my dad didn't have to come pick me up at the train station. The bus I take drops me right off at my street. XD

September 11th

So, it's been six years since 9/11. As I've done for the past five years, I wore my 9/11 shirt. Got it when I slept over at the fire station in Rosemere when I was in Girl Guides. The firefighters passed shirts out to everyone. Thankfully, Lindsay still fits the shirt. Anywho, I found it weird that I didn't hear one single person even mention 9/11. Did everyone forget? I know it's been six years but I thought I would at least hear someone talking about it! On Oprah today (her new season has finally started), she had kids on that had lost their mother or father on 9/11. It was a really emotional show.

Anyways, back to my day. So, when I got to the train station, Tania found me and we sat together on the train. We also took the same bus to school. When I got to school, I worked on my anthro homework due this Friday. My first class was western civ and the whole class was dedicated to Greek mythology. Cool! XD I then had an hour and a half break. A couple of minutes into my break, Shawn showed up. We hung out at the lockers. Then, his locker buddy, Amy (she's also in my English class) arrived. Then, this other girl who has a locker in our section arrived. We all started to talk and then we watched some videos on Shawn's laptop. Most of the videos were of Dane Cook. Ate lunch while watching the videos. Shawn and I then had classes at 11:30 in the A building so we walked together.

In French class we had a test today. Yay. Wasn't too hard though. It was on nouns, adjectives, adverbs, etc. Checked my mark online about an hour ago. I got 24/25! Yay!! :D After my last class, I headed for the train. When I got to the train station, I met up with Tania and Jeremy and this girl I didn't know.

Just finished watching Canadian Idol. (If for whatever reason you don't want to know who wins, move onto the next paragraph!). Anywho, it was two hours long. And as usual, you don't find out who wins till the last 10 minutes of the show. I really wanted Brian Melo to win and I had my fingers crossed. He was 100 times better than the other guy, Jaydee. So, the host is like 'And the Canadian Idol', followed by a looong silence, and then: 'is Brian Melo!' Yay! XD He really deserved to win. He was freakin' awesome. *happy*

Break and train

Wow, I had an exciting Monday! So, ordinary morning. The train was PACKED this morning. I had to go through like 3 compartments things just to find a seat. Ya. Fun. When I got off, the first 171 bus that came was like jampacked so I'm like, I'll just wait for the next one! So, I did. Good decision too. Kelly was on that one! Yay! XD So, we got to walk together to school and stuff. We then hung out in front of my locker. Then Shawn came and I introduced them to each other. We talked and then I had to leave. Shawn walked with me since his class was on the same floor as mine. Got to English. Usually, the teacher is like 5 or 10 minutes late. More than 15 minutes pass by so students begin to leave. (If a teacher doesn't arrive within 15 minutes, students are allowed to leave!) Some guy had a laptop with him so he checked quickly the class cancellations. It wasn't up. So, the rest of us just left. I calculated, I could have slept in 4 extra hours cause of this! Gah!

I went down to my lockers, dropped off my books and wondered what to do. I had homework to do but both textbooks were at home and I needed them to do it. *sigh* Eventually, this girl from my English class arrived (her locker was like 5 down from mine). We then started to talk and that lasted for about an hour. Finally, Laura was done with her class and I got to hang out with her! XD We tried going to Taco Bell but that didn't open till 11. Then, McDonald's was packed so, in the end, we decided to go to Tim Horton's! Haven't been to one in YEARS! I had a donut. Yum!

Next class was with Kelly and Sandra and I just made it to class on time! XD Within like 2 minutes of starting, the fire bell rang! What the-? So, everyone packed up their things and began to file down the stairs and outside. We were out there for like 25 minutes. Exciting.

After our shorter class, Kelly and I bought pasta. And, on the way to our eating place, Kelly's boyfriend, Alex, showed up! Came all the way from Champlain College. He had like this 4 hour break. O_O Ya. So, the four of us hung out. About 10 minutes before 2, Sandra left cause she had gym class. Down to three. Both Kelly and I had a class at 2:30 so we headed to our lockers around 2:15. Said goodbye to Kelly and Alex.

Last night, I had decided that I would try to make the 4:07 train even though my class ends at 3:45. As soon as class ended, I darted to N and to my lockers. Quickly dropped of my stuff and darted outside and to Cote-Vertu. (My legs hurt now cause I walked so darn fast!) Turns out, I didn't really need to walk that fast since it took like 10 minutes for the 171 bus to get there. And the one that comes is PACKED beyond belief. I mean, there are people standing like right in front of the door. Eek. I was gonna wait for the next bus but I wanted to try and catch the train. So, I stand right smack dab in front of the closing doors. It was squishy. Finally, finally, I got off at the train station. By that time, it's like 4:20 so I know that I had missed the train. I walk slowly to the train station. As I'm crossing the platform to the opposite side, I see the train approaching a couple of hundred feet away. Huh? I guess the train is either like 10 minutes late, or 20 minutes early. Thankfully, I get on. :D Lucky Lindsay! I JUST made the train!
